Our personal safari guide will pick you up from your Arusha lodge in the morning. We left for Tarangire National Park on a good tarmac road that went through Masai plains with acacia trees here and there. As we drive quickly, we see many Masai dressed in bright clothes walking along the side of the road, riding bikes, herding cattle, and pulling donkey carts. Tarangire National Park is known for its large groups of elephants, but it is also home to many other animals. From the open roof of our modern safari jeep, we see the seasonal swamps, savanna, and Tarangire River, which gives life to many animals, such as zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name a few. There’s a chance we’ll catch a glimpse of a lion stalking its prey or a leopard watching from a tree and taking it easy.
After a full day in the park, we’ll drive to the well-equipped lodge, where we’ll have dinner in a beautiful restaurant, unwind, and spend the night in one of her large rooms.
Migombani Campsite is a beautiful place to camp.
Rise up and shine! The trip to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, starts early in the morning. Once you reach the crater rim, you will drive down a steep path into the 600 m deep caldera to see a variety of animals and birds. The collapsed caldera is home to more than 25,000 mammals, including the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard), and more than 500 bird species.
After a long game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, you will go back to Arusha. Depending on your plans, our driver will be ready to take you to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar or your flight back home.
